Founded over 125 years ago, Lichfield Chamber of Trade & Commerce provides a voice for every business located in or servicing Lichfield District. Run by the members for the members, our mission is to create a community of local businesses, working collaboratively to grow an enterprising and prosperous city and district.

Advocating

The Chamber brings together the vibrant and diverse trades, manufacturers, retailers and professionals of Lichfield to keep you informed of local issues and initiatives and to provide representation to the local government. We believe that by working together we can positively impact our city.

Collaborating

Every member of the Chamber is provided a platform on which they can educate and promote their business to each other and the wider area. By pooling commercial and technical knowledge, supporting endeavours and events and working collaboratively, we support the business community as a whole.

Networking

We actively promote and facilitate networking between members, strengthening relationships and fostering goodwill and unity that help us to work as one, encouraging trade and prosperity in our community.

Stronger Together

We welcome all new members to the Chamber and actively promote diversity and equality across our district. We recognise that every voice has experience and perspective to share that enhances our community.

Projects & Initiatives

Since we were founded in 1896, Lichfield Chamber has supported initiatives for the improvement of our city and district. As the nature of trade and commerce has changed, the Chamber has adapted. Our members include city centre businesses, as well as online retailers, home-working professionals, charities and arts venues. Our requirement is only that you are either based in Lichfield or are actively trading in and bringing income into the district.

In recent years we have:

Provided representation to the local government and other agencies on issues that impact our members or city, such as planning, policing, parking and pedestrianisation.
Provided a space where third parties can communicate directly with the business community to raise their requests, with recent visits from M6 Toll reps exploring usage and local charities raising their profiles.

Lichfield Chamber supports annual initiatives including:

Providing hanging baskets to create a bright and welcoming city

Planning the annual Lichfield Christmas Fayre and Summer Festival Market, providing marketing and staffing the event throughout the day, bringing in footfall to the city centre.
